The Sign, it is Being Changed
I will try to have the menu posted online by tomorrow. Among the goals of On The Square Online is to have the menu of every restaurant on The Town square posted online.
Advertising media sales alert! Over on Walnut St., across from Walgreen's, Murphys Restaurant has been purchased by the former manager of Italian Village in order to open -- you guessed it! -- an Italian restaurant.
Another sign that will be changing is the flyer for the Between the Rivers CD party in Harrisburg, scheduled for April 15 -- but changing (maybe) to April 29 -- for reasons I won't go into here, but will discuss in the Between the Rivers blog. I'm not expecting many (any?) folks in Carbondale to make the 50 mile trip to hear a performer (great as he is) they can hear at Key West, every Sunday night, right here in the 'Dale.
Another reason to love lanky Ivas John -- the bluesy frontman likes to hoop! We went to the old Winkler School courts for some one-on-one on Sunday, after a Press Kit session on the trusty Compaq. But dig it, like Justin Dentmon before him-- Ivas couldn't stop the hook shot NBA great Guy Rodgers taught me how to shoot in 1962. Nevertheless, IJ scored a solid Press Kit and a convincing (11-7) victory against a gimpy opponent.
Something else I'm disappointed in the Park District about (besides "The Hickory Lodge Dodge") -- No Adult Basketball Leagues! Now that I am ready to step gingerly into the role of coach, I have a good mind to march over to the Park District office on Sunset Drive and give them an assist.
(note on colors: items in green, are photos yet-to-be uploaded, maroon represents a link that Blog Lynx hasn't gotten to yet; blue represents a link to something previously appearing in this blog. Eventually all the photos will be uploaded and all the links will be active. That's the plan)
