Now with more links
It looks like the recently hired link specialist can get the job done. I thought the "other committee members" phrase would throw her, but she figured it out. This means I can write freely without getting blogged-down adding explanatory links.
Tonight the Carbondale City Council meets to discuss the new budget, as reported in The Southern. As usual, I won't be in attendance, due to longstanding commitment to sitting at that time, watching one thing or another on the tube.
The City Council meeting will be available in its entirety (as a downloadable .mp3) on the City's website in two or three days.
The way it's set up with Lynx, items in red means links outside of ShawneeNet files and blogs; whereas an item in blue means a reference to something in this blog, such as the last time City Council audio files were uploaded.
Speaking of audio files, Mayor Brad Cole was interviewed by Tom "Cap" Miller on WJPF-AM radio this morning, among other things I heard hizzoner recently paid a visit to Cuba with an SIUC contingent (although no mention was made of his recent trip to Japan with a similar group). What do such visits mean to the Mayor? He explains to Miller.
