Last night's show at
Yellowmoon Cafe by
Stace England and the Cairo Project really rocked the house. Backed by bass,
Ron Johnson (at right), lead guitar,
Charlie Tabing (of
Jackhead, seated behind Johnson) and drums,
Dane Spalt, Stace wowed the crowd with a high-energy performance of songs from his
critically acclaimed 2005 CD,
Greetings from Cairo, Illinois. Besides singing lead vocal and playing rhythm guitar, the techno-smart musician's show also included a powerful PowerPoint background of historical images of Cairo to illustrate each song. Stace will be taking the show to
Horseshoe in Chicago next weekend,
with Jackhead.
