Growth spurt

It appears that the
Carbondale Terriers star point guard
Justin Dentmon has become a
Warrior in the AAU league over the summer -- and shot-up 8-9 inches since last season! Either that or he's shooting one of those adjustable hoops. Nevertheless, the best point guard in the state is expected to undergo a tremendous growth spurt next season as a student athlete at a
Massachusetts prep school (noted previously in this blog). Although his CCHS coach opposes the move, the court-savvy senior knows he can enchance his academic value through another year of study, plus play a season in a tough Eastern prep league -- and improve his chances at playing at University of Illinois, under
Bruce Weber -- or anywhere else! (it depends on how good a year he has). There is still a small possibility he'll play at Southern, but that's a task for
Chris Lowery (and, of course, this blog will do what it can.)
