Blues over news
I was literally out the door for last night's Town Meeting at Parrish School, but it was metaphorically raining cats and dogs, and very chilly, and I'd been having trouble with my car, and Martin Scorcese's documentary tribute to The Blues was on PBS-TV at 8 (and will be broadcast through the Saturday), and I didn't have a good enough reason to drive across town to Parrish School instead (and better advertising by the City, or the promise of food wouldn't have changed that), so . . . all of this may help to explain why, as the Daily Egyptian reports:only five citizens attended last night's town meeting. And they were from the neighborhood, and probably not into the blues.
Blue Velveeta?
Did you know that Congress declared this year YEAR OF THE BLUES? Me neither. Maybe I should get back to work on The International Blue Party of the Planet website.
