Columbo Lives!

Don't take my word for it, click here. Or go to the Interfaith Center tonight at 7:30 p.m. to discuss plans for David Columbo Memorial Library. Dave read a lot of books. When he died he was reading a book by Ken Wilbur, I forget the title--not actually reading at the time his body stopped breathing, but in the longer process of reading Wilbur's intellectually stimulating work. Dave was telling me about it the day he died. I wonder if that book will be on the shelf. I'll recognize the title when I see it. Oh yeah, I remember, the title was "If You Read this Book to Page 179, you will die in your sleep that night." Whoa. Talk about doin' a 180.
Anti-war, Pro-Human Rights last night
At Carbondale City Council,
Poet Tiger Moon, she said a mouthful,
So did Hugh Muldoon, to avert disaster,
And Kim Magwire, Good Shepherd Pastor,
And Mayor-aspirers Maggie and Brad
Were all quoted in the daily rag.
Behind the scenes, the City Manager, Jeff Doherty,
And Janet Vaught, the clerk, recorded quietly
What people said, and how they voted,
And some of the above were quoted.
There's more to read, if you're devoted
about the HRC and resolution against war.
